This letter comes from a gentleman named Mike Clark who initally was very much against the ideal of interfaith among the various world religions.  The original letter is avaliable upon request.

"You may think that as a Christian there's no reason to study other religions.  Until recently, I thought so too.  Then someone taught me a valuable lesson for which I will be forever grateful.  I'm now convinced you can understand more about your own faith by having some knowledge of the faith of others.  Most people of the world are religious and at the deepest level of their being, it's their religion that makes them who they are.  You can't really know someone without knowing something about thieir beliefs.  By learning about other faiths, your faith can become stronger.  We must not isolate ourselves from others just because their beliefs are different.  All religions have something in them that is positive.  We must learn to love together, live together, and work together no matter what race of religion someone else may be and let GOD lead the way."
